User agreements

These terms of use explain the rules for using the Webinarum website and service. Webinarum is an informational website for the MyOwnConference webinar platform, operated by Akovana UAB. Registration, user accounts, and webinar rooms are provided through the MyOwnConference platform at myownconference.com. By accessing or using Webinarum, you agree to follow these terms.

§ 1. Definitions

  1. The Company or Akovana LLC means Akovana UAB, also known commercially as AKOVANA. The company has share capital of € 30000,00 and is registered at Didzioji Street 18, 01128, Vilnius, Lithuania. It operates this website.

  2. MyOwnConference means the webinar platform owned and operated by Akovana UAB, available at myownconference.com. Webinarum serves as an informational website for the MyOwnConference platform. All user accounts, webinar rooms, and core platform features referenced in these terms are provided through MyOwnConference.

  3. Client means any person or business entity that subscribes to the Webinarum service.

  4. User means anyone who uses Webinarum, whether regularly or occasionally. This includes website visitors, event participants, and administrators or managers authorized by a Client.

  5. Participant means a User who joins online events and interacts through features like polls, chat, or questions. Participants send and view information through the Webinarum service.

  6. Administrators or Managers means Users authorized by a Client who hold an Account. They set up invitations, organize events, host sessions, and communicate with Participants on the Client's behalf.

  7. Account means an individual account created for Administrators to access and use the Webinarum service. Accounts are hosted and managed through the MyOwnConference platform.

  8. Website means all pages and content available at Webinarum.com.

  9. Webinarum Service means the informational website at Webinarum.com together with the webinar tools, features, and applications provided through the MyOwnConference platform. This includes the online events management platform.
  10. Content means anything published or shared through Webinarum by Webinarum, Users, or third parties. Content may include text, images, video, audio, data, and links.

  11. Visitor means a person who browses the Website without necessarily having an Account.

§ 2. Acceptance of GCU

The Lithuanian and English versions of these Terms control in case of any differences with other translations.

These General Conditions of Use explain how Users may access and use the Website and Webinarum Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Webinarum. You accept them by using the Website or the Webinarum Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website or the service.

Webinarum may update these Terms at any time. When changes are more than purely formal, we will provide advance notice.

If you keep using the Website or service after we notify you of changes, that means you accept the updated Terms. As long as you follow these Terms, Webinarum grants you a limited personal license to access and use the Website and the service. This license is non exclusive and non transferable.

If a User breaks these Terms, Webinarum may suspend or end that User’s access.

§ 3. Access to the service

3.1. Access to the service

Webinarum is an online service. To use it, you need your own internet connection. All connection and access costs are your responsibility. Webinarum does not provide hardware, phone service, software, or subscriptions needed to access the Website.Webinarum gives each User a limited license to access and use the service and its Content. This license applies only while you follow these Terms.

Your login and password are personal. You must not share them. Webinarum may disable access if this rule is not respected.

To use the Webinarum Service, you must have an Account on the MyOwnConference platform at myownconference.com.

Webinarum may pause, limit, or stop access to the Website or service at any time, including for maintenance or operational reasons. Webinarum may also change or remove parts of the Website or service without owing compensation.

3.2. Operation of the service

Webinarum does not promise that the service will always run without interruption or errors.Webinarum is not responsible for service outages or malfunctions caused by factors such as internet provider issues, hosting problems, third party interference, or events beyond our control.Webinarum is not responsible for internet related risks such as viruses or malware that may affect your device.

§ 4. Account registration

4.1. Characteristics

To create an Account, an Administrator must be at least eighteen years old, must have reached legal adulthood in their country, or must have permission from a legal guardian if they are a minor.

An Account is a User account assigned to an Administrator under a chosen account name.

The Account remains the property of Webinarum. Administrators receive only a right to access the service through that Account.

Accounts and personal information are managed only on Webinarum and MyOwnConference. At minimum, an Account must follow these rules.

Personal information must be accurate, complete, verifiable, and kept up to date. A personal and valid email address is required.

Connection details such as location and access patterns must reflect normal account use. Proxies or other methods to hide identity are not allowed.

4.2. Creation rules

Account names must follow these rules.

They must be pronounceable words.

They must not reference political views, ethnic groups, communities, or religions.

They must not be vulgar, insulting, sexual, or pornographic.

They must not imitate registered trademarks.

They must not reference illegal drugs or products prohibited by law.

They must not copy or imitate the name of a Webinarum employee or director.

They must not be misspelled in order to bypass these rules.

4.3. Security

To keep Accounts secure and prevent unauthorized access, Administrators agree to the following.

Do not allow anyone else to use your Account. Lending, sharing, trading, gifting, buying, transferring, or selling Accounts is not allowed and will not be recognized by Webinarum.

Take reasonable steps to prevent third parties from accessing your Account even without your knowledge.

Do not use another User’s Account.

Do not share your login credentials, including account name and password.

Use your own email account and do not share it.

Make sure Webinarum can contact you through your email address.

4.4. Responsibility

Administrators are responsible for keeping their Accounts secure. Webinarum is not responsible for damage caused by lost or shared credentials.

Webinarum is not responsible if an Administrator’s Account is stolen or changed by someone else.

Administrators are presumed to be the lawful Users of their Accounts and are responsible for all actions taken through them.

Administrators are responsible for all communications and Content they send. They must use the service in compliance with applicable laws.

§ 5. Admin & manager services

Administrators and Managers can do the following.

Create Accounts.

Organize and host online events and create as many events as needed within reasonable limits. Abusive use may lead to suspension or removal of access.

View daily statistics for events and attendee activity.

Export data in spreadsheet format and connect with supported third party tools listed on the Website.

§ 6. Services to participants

To use Webinarum as a Participant, you must be at least eighteen years old, must have reached legal adulthood in your country, or must have permission from a guardian if you are a minor.

Participants access the service only through a personal invitation sent to them.

Participants may do the following.

Join online events.

Share webcam or screen during events.

Answer polls.

Ask questions.

Send chat messages.

Watch replays after the event if recording is enabled.

Participants are responsible for keeping their invitation access secure. Webinarum is not responsible for damage caused by lost or shared invitations.

Webinarum is not responsible if a Participant invitation is stolen.

Participants are presumed to be the lawful Users of their invitations and are responsible for actions taken through that access.

Participants are responsible for all communications and Content they send and must follow applicable laws.

§ 7. Duration

7.1. Duration for managers and administrators

An Administrator’s Account is active for the subscription period chosen by the Client. This period starts either when the Client signs their agreement with Webinarum or when they accept the General Conditions of Sale or any Special Conditions tied to the subscribed service.

§ 8. User general obligations

Users must not use automated tools such as deep links, crawlers, robots, spiders, or similar methods to access, copy, monitor, or scrape any part of Webinarum or its Content. Users must not bypass navigation or try to obtain data by means not intentionally provided by Webinarum.

Users must not create multiple events at the same time using an API.

Webinarum may block or prohibit such activity. Users must not attempt to access service functions or systems unlawfully, including by hacking, password sniffing, or other illegal methods.

Users must not test or probe the service or connected networks for vulnerabilities or try to bypass security measures.

Users must not attempt to trace or collect information about other Users, Visitors, or Clients, including Accounts they do not own, or use service data to reveal personal information about others.

Users must not overload or disrupt Webinarum infrastructure or connected systems.

Users must not interfere with the service, transactions, or other Users’ experience through any device, software, or process.

Users must not forge headers or manipulate IDs to hide the origin of messages. Users must not impersonate others or misrepresent their identity.

Users must not use Webinarum or its Content for illegal purposes or for activities that violate these Terms or third party rights.

Users are strictly prohibited from using Webinarum to develop, market, or improve a competing product or service. This includes copying or recreating features, concepts, interfaces, or visual elements. Webinarum may suspend or terminate Accounts for violations.

§ 9. User content responsibilities

Users are fully responsible for the Content they share online through Webinarum, including the Community forum and any personal spaces. Webinarum is not responsible for User created Content. Users must ensure their Content does not violate third party rights.

9.1. Clearly unlawful content

User Content must not promote hate, violence, self harm, racism, anti Semitism, xenophobia, homophobia, or defend war crimes or crimes against humanity.

User Content must not sell or promote illegal or fraudulent goods or services. This includes illegal drugs, pirated software, weapons, ammunition, explosives, or instructions for building harmful devices.

User Content must never include child exploitation or pedophilic material.

User Content must not encourage crime, terrorism, or suicide.

User Content must not promote discrimination against a person or group based on ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation, or disability.

To meet legal obligations related to illegal Content, Webinarum may retain connection data, including data tied to internal messaging, as required by law.

9.2. Content that may be disputed

Before publishing, Users must understand the limits of free expression. Free expression allows fair criticism and verified reporting. It does not allow defamation or false allegations. Violations may lead to legal action.

User Content must not violate public order or decency or harm children.

User Content must not be pornographic.

User Content must not violate rights of reputation, privacy, or image.

User Content must not be defamatory, denigrating, or damaging to a brand or person.

Criticism is allowed only when objective, reasonable, and based on real facts.

User Content must not threaten the security or integrity of any state or territory.

User Content must not enable piracy or distribution of harmful software.

User Content must not violate intellectual property rights.

9.3. Image rights and intellectual property

By joining an online event, Users agree that their image and participation may be recorded and broadcast as part of the event recording.

Any dispute about use of a User’s image or intellectual property in an event is the responsibility of the event organizer. Webinarum is not responsible for such disputes.

§ 10. Intellectual property and brands

All text, graphics, interfaces, photos, trademarks, logos, audio, music, illustrations, and code on the Website and service are Intellectual Content owned or licensed by Webinarum and protected by intellectual property and unfair competition laws.

Unless these Terms clearly say otherwise, no part of the Website, service, or Intellectual Content may be copied, modified, republished, uploaded, displayed, translated, transmitted, or broadcast on any platform without written permission from Webinarum.

Users may download and use Webinarum materials made available for that purpose only if all of the following are true.

Users keep copyright notices intact.

Users use the materials only for personal non commercial purposes and do not repost or broadcast them.

Users do not modify the materials.

Users do not claim warranties or guarantees about the materials.

Content created by Users during online events remains the property of the Client. Ownership is not transferred to Webinarum.

§ 11. Responsibility and warranty

Webinarum works to keep the service operating with continuous availability.

However, Webinarum provides the service on a best efforts basis. We do not guarantee that all functions will always be available or free of errors or that issues will be corrected immediately. We also do not guarantee that servers will be free from viruses or bugs.

Webinarum may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, testing, repairs, or improvements without liability.Webinarum is not responsible for Content posted on external websites or personal pages connected to Users. Users are solely responsible for information and media stored in their personal spaces.

Users agree not to hold Webinarum responsible for claims, disputes, damages, or costs arising from their personal spaces or pages.

Webinarum is not responsible for indirect damages caused by use, interruption, or failure of the service.Webinarum is not responsible for external websites linked through the service. We do not endorse their Content, ideas, products, or services.

Users are responsible for any links they publish and agree to protect Webinarum and its affiliates from claims tied to those links.

Webinarum does not guarantee against loss or corruption of files or data Users upload. Users transfer data at their own risk and must keep backups as needed.

Any liability of Webinarum under these Terms is limited to direct damages actually suffered and will not exceed the total amount paid by the User during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Any legal action must be started within one year of the relevant damage.

§ 12. Personal data

Webinarum collects and processes certain personal data under our Data Protection Policy. That policy is part of these Terms.

We process data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including EU Regulation 2016 679 also known as GDPR and related national laws.

You should review the Data Protection Policy for full details on how data is collected and used.

Users have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or object to processing of their data. They may also set instructions about data after death and request portability when allowed by law.

Users may exercise these rights in the following ways.

Through their personal account area.

By contacting the event Administrator.

By emailing .

By writing to Webinarum Personal Data Management Department at Didzioji Street 18, 01128, Vilnius, Lithuania.

Users may also request access, correction, or deletion directly through their personal area as described in the Data Protection Policy.

Webinarum maintains appropriate protection levels as required by applicable law.

We will notify the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate and affected individuals of any qualifying data breach when required by law.

§ 13. Sanctions

If a User violates these Terms, any subscription agreement, the Webinarum Community Code of Conduct, or any other Webinarum policy, Webinarum may limit, suspend, or terminate access to the service and related Accounts without prior notice.

§ 14. Modification

Webinarum may change these Terms at any time.

Updates take effect when posted on the Website and service. We will inform Users in advance by email or by a notice on the Website or service. Continued use requires acceptance of the updated Terms.

Webinarum may add, remove, or change services and features. We will notify Users in advance when practical.

When using Webinarum, Users may access Content or services provided by third parties. Webinarum is not responsible for those third party services or Content.

Webinarum is not responsible for damages related to interactions that happen outside the Webinarum service, even if they involve Users who met through Webinarum.

§ 15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, regardless of where a User is located.

Because the internet is global, Users must also follow the laws of the place where they access the Website or use the service.

Users must ensure their actions are legal under local rules. In case of a dispute, the version of these Terms available on the Website and service controls.

§ 16. Californian residents

This section applies only if you are subject to these Terms and if the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to your data.

Under the CCPA, we provide this notice as a service provider. We process your personal data only to meet our obligations under these Terms and our Data Protection Policy. We do not use your data for unrelated purposes.

Applicable law means any laws, regulations, standards, guidelines, or self regulation rules that apply to data handling. This includes the CCPA found at Cal. Civ. Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.

As a service provider, we collect, store, use, disclose, and process personal data only as needed to deliver the service and to fulfill our contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal data and we do not disclose it for commercial purposes.

We understand and comply with Cal. Civ. Code 1798.140(w)(2). If there is a conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms or the Data Protection Policy, the latter controls for data of people living in the European Economic Area.
